Head Coach - Cody Smith
Bio - Cody Smith began his role as the Hannibal-LaGrange Head Women's Soccer Coach in 2014 after serving three seasons as the assistant/goalkeepers coach for the Lady Trojans.
During his three years as an assistant at HLGU, Smith's goalkeepers had been named as First Team All-Conference athletes and voted Most Improved by their teammates. During the 2010 season, his goalkeeper was honored as a NAIA National Defensive Player of the Week.
Cody Smith has been very involved with Quincy United Soccer Club in Quincy, where he coaches U11 boys, U18 girls, and U16 girls teams.
Smith graduated from Hannibal-LaGrange University in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services. He has earned a NSCAA National Diploma, his USFF Class E and F licenses as well as his level one and level two diplomas in goal keeping.
Assistant Coach - Michael Clayton
Coach Clayton enters his first season as an ODP coach, but is very familiar with the Missouri ODP program – He played on the 89’ ODP team for 4 years where he was a Region II Regional Team Selection 2 of those years. Coach Clayton played Division I soccer from 2007 – 2011 at Butler University.
He currently works as the Education Program Coordinator for the National Soccer Coaches Association of America in Kansas City, MO. Michael currently holds his NSCAA Advanced National Diploma, NSCAA Director of Coaching Diploma, and USSF ‘D’ License.
